Iran film on martyred divers featured in private session

Director Maryam Doustee’s ‘Fish Lake’ has been shown in a private event in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

Special screening session for Iranian film on martyred divers ‘Fish Lake’ by director Maryam Doustee has been held in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The private screening session of Doustee’s movie was mounted at the Farabi Cinema Foundation in Tehran on Wednesday.

The ceremony was held with the attendance of the film cast and crew actors, families of Iranian martyrs and media persons.

Among key film cast include Nader Fallah, Setareh Eskandari, Laleh Eskandari, Roham Tadrisi, Hadiseh Tehrani.

‘Fish Lake’ narrates the story of a few families coming together after the Iraq-imposed war on Iran with a theme on Iran's martyred divers during Iraq-Iran war.

In 2015, a group of Iranian divers who were reportedly buried alive with their hands tied during Iraq imposed war on Iran were returned to Iran.

Written by Mostafa Rastegari and produced by Maziyar Rezaee, the movie first premiered at the non-competition section of the Fajr Film Festival this year.

The film is currently on the big screen across Iranian theaters.
